Thinking about booking a photo session with Amyjonesdesign? Let me give you an idea of how it all works, and what to do to best prepare for your session! I'll answer the most frequently asked questions too!
What to expect for....
PARENTS: I can't wait to work with your high school senior to create what they envision for their senior experience session! This is such a fun time… and likely the last time they'll have professional photos done before their wedding! So we definitely want to capture these moments for them… their personality, individuality, and their dreams for their future. We'll have a pre-shoot consultation to chat about what you and your senior want from their session. We'll discuss location ideas, what they can wear and bring along… I love personalizing these sessions for them, so I want to get to know your kid!
SENIORS: I love it when seniors text me photos of the outfits they plan to wear (helps in planning and I'm happy to give my opinions if asked)! On the day of your session, we typically plan to shoot 2-3 hours and hit 2-3 locations for a regular session. There's no outfit minimum, but planning for 3-4 outfits is good. Bring more and we'll figure out what works best for your locations. Bring accessories… hats, jewelry, sunglasses, scarves, jackets, books… whatever you love! I always have an assistant on our shoots, and I'll bring some lighting along too. I can't wait to give you your "model for a day" experience!
This is all about the two of you! We'll chat in a pre-shoot consultation about the best location for your engagement session. I want to know how and where you met, where you enjoy spending time together, and what fun things you like to do on the weekends! I don't want your session to look like everyone else's… I want it to be just for you! So let's get to know each other and decide what you'd like to do for your session… hint - the more fun activities involved, the better! We'll spend an hour or two together for your session. If you're not sure what you want to do, no worries… I'm here to help!
AFTER YOUR SESSION
The day of your session we will schedule an In-Office Order Appointment. This will take place approximately 1 week after your photo shoot.
Your appointment will take place at our home based studio in Conway. I'll guide you through the ordering process and help you decide what products and sizes will work best to fill the space on your walls. We have samples here of various products that we offer through our professional lab, and if there's something particular you're looking for, don't hesitate to ask, as our lab most likely offers it. You may want to bring a list of friends and family you'd like to gift with prints also…
Plan for 1 - 1 1/2 hours for your ordering appointment.
In the days after your session, while you're waiting for me to prepare your images... I'd love for you to look around your home to get an idea of the spaces you'd like to fill on your walls. Taking measurements is a bonus, and you're also welcome (and encouraged!) to email or text me photos of the spaces you'd like to fill with custom art from your photo session.
Having all these things done ahead of time helps your ordering session to go smoothly and more quickly!
